Senior IT Support Officer
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the IT technical infrastructure and operations, incorporating the following hardware and all associated software:
o File & print, application and e-mail servers
o Backup devices and tape library
o Workstations, printers and other peripheral devices
o Switches, hubs, cabling plant and other network equipment
o Routers, firewalls and communications links
• Ensure that backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place
• Ensure that anti virus software and virus signatures are updated on a regular basis
• Maintain an IT hardware asset register in conjunction with the finance team
• Maintain a software asset register, and ensure that software usage is licensed at all times
• Implement a common operating environmentconsistent with JWT’s global standards for all workstations and servers
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on business applications
• Prepare yearly detailed IT budget projections, and quarterly budget updates in conjunction with the Finance Director
• Provide input on the most appropriate and effective use of technology to the management team.
• Coordinate IT purchasing activities withparticular emphasis on leveraging the WPP procurement contracts with preferred suppliers.
